    Welcome to the HHD Forums.

We hope that you will jump in and become an integral part of this support community. The rules and guidelines are designed to give you an understanding of what behavior is expected and to make everyone’s more enjoyable and safe.

Posts may be deleted, edited, moved and/or topics may be merged by the Moderators for clarification and/or to conform to these rules and guidelines at their complete discretion.

    RULES:

No posts that include the following:

    • Any illegal activity or threats of violence.
    • Explicit, racist, obscene or vulgar language, images or messages.
    • Attacks, insults, flames, defamation, or abuse. This includes ALL CAPS in posts and topic headings.
    • Advertising or links to advertising or “Spam”. Note that promoting alternative support groups is considered advertising.
    • Copyrighted material, lengthy articles, or posts of an overtly political or religious nature.
    • Personal contact information. This is to protect your security and identity.

    GUIDELINES:

    • Check for fresh topics. Please start a new topic rather than replying to one that is stale (over one (1) year since last post).
    • Report posts that violate the rules. Do this by contacting the Webmaster. Please be specific so they can find the offending post.
    • Use good judgement. NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged to replace necessary, personal consultation(s) with qualified health or medical professionals to meet your individual health or medical needs. Remember that what’s right or has worked for one person may not be what’s right for you.
    • Lend a helping hand. A bit of compassion can go a long way toward helping people with life’s challenges and reaching out can help alleviate feelings of loneliness.
    • Don’t be afraid to share. If you’re feeling alone or hurting, don’t be afraid to share your fears and tears. If you’re rejoicing about the results of a recent medical test or treatment, share that too.
    • Welcome new members. Help new folks “learn the ropes” about how to find information and resources, save time, and how to get involved.
    • Use descriptive titles for new posts. Avoid “generic” post subjects like “Help” or “Question”. You will receive a better response to your posts by making your title more descriptive about the content of your post.
    • Be respectful of each other and the moderators in both the forums and any private communications.
    • Stay on topic. Posts which are not relevant to the forum topic may be edited and/or deleted.
    • Keep posts family friendly.
